Responsible Gambling
If betting stops being fun, stop. Predictions are for
entertainment. Never wager more than you can afford to lose, and never
chase losses.
Know the signs
- Betting more than you planned, or borrowing to bet.
- Hiding bets from family or friends.
- Chasing losses with bigger bets.
- Feeling restless or irritable when not betting.
- Losing sleep, missing work, or skipping meals over bets.
Set hard rules before you start
- Deposit limit: decide a weekly or monthly cap and stick to it.
- Time limit: set a timer when you start a session.
- Loss limit: if you hit it, stop for the day — no exceptions.
- Never borrow: only stake money that is already yours and already discretionary.
Tools sportsbooks offer
Most reputable sportsbooks offer deposit limits, cooling-off periods, and self-exclusion. Use them. They are not signs of weakness — they are signs of a player in control.
